This is the web site of the new Staffordshire History Association. By kind permission of the Community Council of Staffordshire, it is being incorporated within their "Staffordshire History" website. The Association will be working closely with the Community Council and their other Local History arm, the journal "Staffordshire History" which is published twice a year and is edited by Dudley Fowkes.

All of Staffordshire's History Groups (local or otherwise) are welcome to join the Association and we will be happy to include to include on this website their programme of events and anything else which will increase the interest of the public in Staffordshire's history. (And we mean the historical administrative county of Staffordshire that existed until 1888). We will also be encouraging communities to set up a local history group if they do not have one at present.   Advice and help will be given.   Any current group that has their own web site will be pleased to know that we will be putting a link to their site on this one and we would appreciate a reciprocal arrangement. Please notify the Webmaster if you have a site in the "historical" county of Staffordshire.
