novelists, rather a list of novels which feature some aspect of
Staffordshire as their background.
Few, if any, could of course equal Arnold Bennett's treatment of The
Potteries. Some may come close, others miss the mark by the
proverbial country (county?) mile. Much naturally depends on
personal tastes.
